Life Preservers Project Expands Efforts to Miami

On September 23rd, 2021, we at Life Preservers Project broke new ground by hosting our very first event in Miami, Florida. Miami-Dade ranks number 1 amongst the cities in Florida and Florida is number three amongst states with California ranking first and Texas ranking second.

With the help of our board members, we are happy to announce that Cocktails for a Cause was a resounding success! Through the kindness of our sponsors at Berger Singerman, Consilio and IPRO and several individual contributors we are proud to announce that we raised over $4000. The proceeds will go towards supporting art education for survivors of human trafficking and increasing human trafficking awareness and additional programming we currently have planned.

This was a leap of faith for us here at Life Preservers Project, and it would not have been possible without the very generous donations of our sponsors and the presence of all those that supported us. Your generosity is the fuel that drives us, it will be the foundation for us as we continue to grow and expand.

To those that attended in person, your interest and passion hasn’t gone unnoticed. We will cherish the intimate conversations about evoking change and use it as a springboard going forward.

In addition to Cocktails for a Cause, several board members had the opportunity to leave a bit of Life Preservers Project behind as a tribute to survivors and victims. A mural in honor of those trafficked was painted as part of the Wynwood Walls in Miami. If you live or are ever in the Miami area, please stop by the mural, take a photo and tag us.
