Shana Pederson is the President and Founder of the 501(c)3 anti-trafficking arts collective, Life Preservers Project: connecting the art and legal worlds to raise funds and awareness for the victims of human trafficking. She has been in Executive Legal Search since 2001, and is currently the Manager, eData Recruiting at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP.
Shana has a BA Fine Art with honors from Hunter College, and a Master’s Public Administration (Nonprofit Management) from Seton Hall. She is a lifelong social activist and artist and is involved in several grassroots organizations. In 2009, Shana realized her personal and professional life provided a unique opportunity to combine her love of art, involvement in the NYC Art Community and professional affiliation with the NY Legal Industry to raise funds and awareness for the victims and survivors of Labor and Sex Trafficking in the Northeast. Over the past decade our work has expanded to other regions in the US and has included educating the legal community on ways they can directly help the survivors, and working with youth organizations in NYC to provide art education/workshops.
